Hello Again
well it’s been 2 months and 12 days since ive posted anything so i thought id better get something back up. i guess ill just update all of you on whats been going on lately. well i finished my freshman year of high school with a 4.21 gpa which is good i guess. my baseball team finished the spring season 10-11 and i hit .455 on the year. so far for summer we are 4-2 for the summer but i broke my left fibula playing rightfield last monday so i cant play until july. but ill still be there to keep score and do other things. my cousin got married on saturday and i played air guitar with the band just i was using my crutch as the guitar. my birthday was on the 17th and i got an electric guitar which ive been having fun with lately. ummmmmmmmm thats all i can think of for now but if i remember anything else important ill let you know!!!!!!
GO CUBS!!!
My Thoughts on American Idol this year.
ive started following along with idol lately since they came to omaha last year. i like watching it a lot now too. so i just want to express some of my thoughts for season 8.
first of all i am really glad that tatiana is gone. honestly she has a voice but she is so annoying. would anybody in the music industry want to work with her? really?
ricky braddy really got cheated out of the top 13. he was incredible in the top 36 and had the performance of the night in wild card week. hes one of my favorites.
but my top favorite is adam lambert. his voice is just incredible. nobody else in the competition can match his range or the power of his vocals. only thing though is a haircut and ditch the earrings.
who will win? danny gokey. he has a great story and an even better voice. jesus take the wheel was pretty darn good.
Baseball: A Game of 3′s.
recently i have noticed that in the game of baseball, the number 3 is very prevalent, and also its powers/exponents. so these are some of the many 3′s found in baseball.
3
- 3 outs
- 3 strikes
3 squared (3 x 3) = 9
- 9 batters
- 9 fielders
- 9 innings
3 cubed (3 x 3 x 3) = 27
- 27 min. at bats per game
- 27 hitters faced in a perfect game
3 to the 4th (3 x 3 x 3 x 3) = 81
- 81 home games
- 81 away games

What’s up with The Netherlands
theyre hugest underdog in the whole World Baseball Classic (other than South Africa, seriously if you didnt see them they suck). yet they come out and beat the Dominican Republic. TWICE!! talk about a major small ball team. i dont think they got one base hit in the outfield. first game the leadoff hitter gene kingsale hits a baltimore chopper and makes it safely to first base. then he gets sacrificed over by the next hitter, who reached first safely. then with an error by hanley ramirez they both scored and somehow another run came in. then their no name pitchers come in and hold the star studded DR lineup to two runs. and then they beat Dominican Republic again and few days later.

but really theres only 5 guys on their roster that ive heard of before the classic. randall simon, sidney ponson, rick vandenhurk, yurendell de caster and gene kingsale. only vandenhurk and de caster made it to the majors last year and are still on major league contracts. im rooting for them the rest of the way in the WBC.
The World Baseball Classic is HERE!!
o my gosh. i am so excited that the wbc has finally started. i had school cancelled on thursday because our varsity girls basketball team was going to state. but being the dedicated baseball fan that i am i stayed home and watched team japan take on team china in game one. it was so cool. i got to watch players i have dreamed of watching play on my tv. i mean really. nippon ham’s yu darvish was insanely amazing. he pitched 4 innings and didnt give up one single hit. shuichi murata of yokohama jacked a monster homer and nearly hit two more. it was just amazing. and although this sounds strange coming from an american, i am rooting for team japan to again take the world baseball classic crown.

look at that. the boy just cant stop throwing smoke.
Cubs Closer
ive been wondering about the closer for the cubs. it seems like weve got 2 really good candidates, i just have my worries about each of them. carlos marmol is probably the favorite. he just has nasty, electric stuff. fastball-slider combo i believe, but my problem with him is that he is home run prone and inexperienced. i remember there was a span of maybe a week where he gave up 3 homers in 4 innings. control is another down side for marmol too.
kevin gregg is actually my favorite to win the closer spot. i think he has much better control than marmol and has a few years of closing under his belt. marmol should stay in the setup role.
personally, i would still rather have kerry wood finishing off games in chicago.
